Some directions for those travelling to Woodseats from further away:

From Chesterfield / South

From Chesterfield, follow the A61 northbound towards Sheffield. At Bowhead roundabout, take the first exit, and continue to follow the A61 (Chesterfield Road). At the next roundabout (Meadowhead roundabout), take the second exit, continuing to follow the A61 signposted for the City centre. Follow the road down the hill to the junction of the A61 (Chesterfield Road) with the B6068 (Abbey Lane). Switch into the left hand lane after the junction and take the next left onto Bromwich Road. Take the third right onto Marshall Road. The church is on the corner of Marshall Road and Bromwich Road.

At peak times, traffic can back up from the centre of Woodseats to the junction, in which case it may be preferable to turn left onto B6068 (Abbey Lane), second right onto Camping Lane (Marshall Road is next to Camping Lane, but is blocked off where it meets Abbey Lane), first right onto Florence Road and left onto Marshall Road. The church is just ahead of you on the right.

From the North / M1 / Rotherham

Exiting the M1 at Junction 33, follow the A630 (Sheffield Parkway) signposted for Sheffield. After 3 miles, take the left hand slip lane signposted for the Ring Road, A6102. Take the second exit at the roundabout, following signs for the Ring Road, A6102. Stay in the left lane as you drop down running parallel to the Parkway, and then up to a second roundabout. Take the first exit onto the Ring Road, A6102, also signposted for Chesterfield (A61), and continue along the main road for 5 miles, following signs for Chesterfield (A61). After 5 miles, at Meadowhead roundabout (immediately following St. James Retail Park) take the third exit signposted City Centre A61. From here, follow the instructions for approaching the church from Meadowhead roundabout detailed above.

From the Peak District - Baslow / Bakewell area

From Baslow, follow the A619 eastbound through Nether End, taking the first exit at the major roundabout signposted for Sheffield, A621. Follow the A621 over the moors for 4 miles to Owler Bar roundabout (more of an extended island). Take the second exit, signposted Sheffield, A621. Continue into Sheffield. After 3.5 miles, turn right at the crossroads onto the B6068 (Abbey Lane), signposted (M1,M18), Rotherham (A630). Continue along Abbey Lane for a mile before turning left onto Camping Lane (the entrance is immediately opposite an old school building), first right onto Florence Road, and left onto Marshall Road.

From Manchester / Peak District - Hope Valley area

From Glossop, follow the A57 towards Sheffield (Snake Pass). After 14 miles, turn right at the traffic lights onto the A6013 signposted for Bamford, crossing over part of Ladybower Reservoir. Follow the A6013 through Bamford to the junction with the A6187. Turn left onto the A6187 towards Hathersage and Sheffield. Continue along the road, passing through Hathersage and climbing through Hathersage Booths. After passing signs welcoming you to Sheffield and a sharp right hand bend in the road, follow the main road to the left as it sweeps past the Fox House pub. Just beyond this point, the road becomes the A625. Continue along the A625 into the outskirts of Sheffield. 3.5 miles after Fox House, take a right onto the B6375 (Whirlowdale Road), which is additionally signposted for (M1,M18), Rotherham (A630) and Woodseats, Abbeydale and Millhouses. Continue down the hill to the crossroads and cross straight over onto the B6068 (Abbey Lane). Continue on to the church following the directions from the crossroads described above.

From Worksop / A1 / East Midlands

Leaving the A1 at Worksop, follow the A57 signposted towards Sheffield. Continue following the A57 into the Sheffield suburbs. After about 18 miles, take the first exit on the Coisley Hill roundabout signposted for Intake B6064. Follow the road as it bears right and up a steep embankment. After half a mile, make a left hand turn onto the B6063 (Hollybank Road) signposted for Gleadless. Continue down Hollybank Road to the traffic lights and cross straight over the crossroads onto Hollinsend Road (still the B6063). Continue along Hollinsend Road to the next major junction and turn left onto the A6102 towards Chesterfield (A61). Follow the signs for Chesterfield and continue along the Ring Road until Meadowhead roundabout (about 3 miles after the turn on), take the third exit for City centre A61, and approach the church following the directions given from Meadowhead roundabout above.
